Jim Derman is a Career Ownership Coach with The Entrepreneur’s Source where his mission is “to help people assess their career possibilities and dreams – specializing in their exploration of business ownership and franchise opportunities”.
He is an accomplished senior HR leader with a successful track record as a change agent, process advocate and strategic business planner in corporate and manufacturing settings. He is highly skilled in program design, budgeting, plant operations and organizational development. His 25+ years of professional experience include work with food and process manufacturers, working in plant and corporate environments, working alongside production Operators and CEOs, and leading non-profit organizations. The companies he worked for were key suppliers to fast food restaurants, casual dining restaurants, the beverage industry, and included large corporations and family owned businesses.
Above all, Jim’s passion has always been developing people – encouraging and coaching them to achieve their personal and professional goals. That’s why being a Career Coach with TES is such a good fit for Jim. He coaches people using the tools and experience of The Entrepreneur’s Source, which has been helping people since 1984.
Jim is an avid learner with a Master of Science in Industrial Relations Degree from Iowa State University, a Master of Divinity Degree from Sioux Falls Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Dakota. He continues learning during the 4+ hours per week of ongoing training offered by TES to keep his coaching skills sharp.
Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and grown daughters and loves to be outdoors and active. He lives outside of Denver, CO and both daughters are now in Colorado as well.
